What do you do when you have already had dinner but see your human eating chicken wings? You hatch a clever plan. That is exactly what this funny cat named Menace did, and his wild attempt is now cracking people up online.
From pretending to sleep to sneak attacks in bed, this kitty worked hard for a bite and failed gloriously. The video, shared by @pawswitharii on TikTok, shows a sly but determined feline trying again and again to snatch a wing.
Menace kicked things off by closing his eyes and lying still, pretending to nap next to his mom. It was all part of the plan. Every now and then, his ears twitched or his paw shifted closer to the plate. He thought mom wouldn’t notice, but she did!

He stayed perfectly still for a few seconds, barely breathing, just waiting for his moment. It was a bold choice. This was more of a surveillance mode. What made it all funnier was the way he tried to act natural while clearly calculating his next move.
Just when mom relaxed a bit, a paw shot out. This funny cat wasted no time. He went from still as stone to a ninja swipe in one second. The move was fast, messy, and nowhere near subtle.

But mom had perfect timing. Before the paw even reached the wing, she stopped him with a firm “No.” That didn’t stop him from trying again, though. And again.
At one point, Menace yawned and stretched with full drama, arms out like he just woke from the deepest nap. But halfway through the stretch, that paw took a quick dip toward the food again. Classic!
He used the stretch as a distraction. It was so casual, so fake, and yet almost believable. This cat really thought he could blend a wing grab into a morning routine stretch. He couldn’t.
Right after the failed stretch grab, Menace rolled over on his back. Legs in the air, belly exposed, eyes half-closed. It screamed, “I’m innocent.” But only for a second. His head snapped back toward the chicken.
After getting turned down a few too many times, the cat finally hit his limit. He let out the faintest hiss—not loud, but dripping with attitude. No swatting, no drama, just a quiet little warning that said, “Fine. But I’m not thrilled about it.”
TikTok lit up with support. Some joked that Menace had earned that wing fair and square, while others said his name fit him perfectly. Either way, everyone agreed—it was classic cat energy.
One person even wrote, “Give Menace an Oscar. I’m convinced.”
Menace didn’t get that name by accident. Watching him try to outsmart his mom proves it. He wasn’t mean or wild, just bold. Every action had a little too much confidence and not enough success.
It is easy to see how he got his name. The attitude, the fake sleeping, and the hiss all added up.
