Gnocchi the pug's indoor zoomies have taken TikTok by storm. The pug broke into a full indoor sprint, and his viral video has racked up more than 76,000 views, showing just how much love the internet has for a dog who can’t quite slow down.

The video starts like any normal day, with the pug’s owner walking down the stairs and pointing out some dirt on the carpet. That quiet buildup fooled everyone. No one expected what came next, and the mess on the steps turned out to be just the opening act.

Before she even finishes her sentence, Gnocchi comes into frame, skidding wildly across the wooden floor. He doesn’t slow down, doesn’t stop, and clearly has no regrets.

Rounding the corner with too much speed, Gnocchi wipes out and crashes into a metal stand holding a large plant. The whole thing collapses. The plant hits the floor. Soil everywhere. Gnocchi doesn’t even flinch.

His owner shouts out, clearly alarmed, but the pug keeps going. No pause, no apology, just pure momentum. The clip captures him tearing through the house like it is his racetrack and everything else is an obstacle.

After the crash, her voice echoes from off-camera, “Oh my God, Gnocchi! Are you okay?” You can hear both shock and amusement. The pug, meanwhile, keeps running like nothing happened.

TikTok users loved every second. The original post by @gnocchithepug1 has drawn more than 76,100 views and 6,100 likes so far. That kind of attention is not easy for a single video, but when a pug crashes into houseplants, people can’t scroll past.

The comments rolled in fast. “This dog never knows peace,” one person wrote. Another chimed in with “100% chaos,” which summed it up perfectly. Someone else noted, “Why is this dog always causing chaos?”

Gnocchi is not alone. PetMD calls these sudden energy bursts “frenetic random activity periods,” or FRAPs. They often look like a full-body sprint in circles, and they are normal in puppies, but even adult dogs can get them.

No one knows exactly what flips the zoomie switch. It might be stress, being overtired, or just plain happiness. Some dogs get them after bath time, others when they are about to settle down. For Gnocchi, it might be all of the above.

Zoomies are not dangerous on their own, but furniture can be at risk (no pun intended!). If your dog tends to launch into sudden bursts of energy indoors, it is good to move fragile or sharp-edged objects.

Pugs are compact but strong. They can generate surprising speed, but turning is not their strong suit. Watching one try to corner at top speed on a hardwood floor is basically guaranteed comedy.
